Hello all
Now that the conference is over, I thought it time to provide an update on some of what has been happening.
Welcome to all our new members. The GWAA now has over 160 members looking into aspects of the campaigns in Africa. If you haven’t yet put a profile onto the site, please do as it helps link people together.
Roop’s new book is out. See http://www.amazon.co.uk/The-Road-Lindi-Garrison-Artillery/dp/1908336560
Frontiersmen’s new topic page for December 2013 and January 2014 looks at the Battle for Bukoba:

The Conference on 9 November was a great success – many thanks to all who joined us and shared their stories. These will be put into the password protected section of the website in due course and I will send a reminder on how to access this area at the same time. For those of you waiting for the paper version of the conference proceedings from 2012 and this year, they are on their way – I need a few more hours in the day.
With the centenary of the war approaching, there is much happening and I’ll try and keep the site up to date with items relevant to the war in Africa. We’re also on Twitter for those of you who are interested @GWEAA is the address.
And as a taster of the expansion of the GWEAA into the Great War in Africa Association, here are some links which may be of interest.
